Hi Paul,
I came across your website looking for info on C & LC Ives empire clocks. I enjoyed looking at your workmanship on the restorations. You do things right. I restore O.G.'s, Empire and wooden works clocks. Could you tell me where I could reference the correct reverse paintings and get a copy to enhance my clocks? Many have clear or no glass. I also, have a Daniel Pratt and Burr & Chittenden groaner woodworks that I need to find the dimensions for the splat and returns and the correct stencel. Any help would be appreciated. Merv

Hi I have saved a copy of wood Mag. since 1985 because of the Acorn clock article in it. I just couldn't get enough info in those days to try to make one. My wife said she would like to have a clock for her sewing room so I dug out the mag. I googled Acorn and came up with your site. Looks like you had the same idea about the forming of the sides and all. The overall size still eludes me. your clock looks great. Thank you for posting it.

Hello, I just found your site and think it is great place to learn. I just bought a Birge & Peck 1850 triple decker mantle clock. It is just beautful and literally perfect with no flaws and all original to the clock parts. I am not sure what the value is but considering it is in amazing condition and works perfectly with the reverse paintings also perfect no chips to the paint. Let me know what you think the value is on this clock. Thanks, Cheryl

I just came into possession today of a beautiful Atkins and Porter 30 hour clock that is 26 and 1/2" high, by 16" wide. It was my great-great grandfather's , and has been in the family since new. It is in fine shape, although it is not currently running. The sticker shows last oiled and cleaned in 1904. I will be seeking a clock expert to get it running again. Your website just happened to be the first that came up on a Google search.
I can be reached at sanborn12@charter.net if you have an expert to recommend.
Thanks,
Jon

Just came across your website. I am restoring an acorn clock that needs much work.I would love to be able to purchase a set of fusee cones and a card label from you. I also realize that the cones are expensive items to reproduce.

Nice work/site, I see you are using a lot of high tech methods. I left a reply to your NAWCC request for escape wheels today. I am a clock partsmaker (add in Mart 20 + years, Fixed In Time Clock Repair ) and use a lot of high tech and traditional methods to make or repair clock parts including AutoCad, WEDM, conventional EDM, some CNC and all the traditional machine tools.
